Marketing Coordinator

As a Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the marketing department in daily activities while gaining experience and opportunities to take on more responsibility. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will assist in a variety of tasks designed to drive growth, improve processes, and maintain our brand’s visibility across multiple storage locations. Your role will be critical in ensuring smooth execution of marketing initiatives, both tactical and strategic.
In this role, you will be expected to show curiosity, take initiative, and demonstrate a passion for learning. High performers will have the chance to develop their skills and take on more responsibility as we continue to grow, creating opportunities for advancement and exploration of areas of interest.
This role is primarily remote, with one day each week spent in the office (Aurora, ON) for team collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Support the Marketing Manager **in daily operations, contributing to the long-term growth and marketing objectives of the company.
- Undertake **administrative tasks **to ensure the coordination and functionality of marketing activities across our multiple sites.
- **Project management**: Manage assigned marketing projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality execution. Be ready to take ownership of smaller projects and deliver them independently.
- Assist with the **planning and coordination of promotional events** and on-site activities to support community engagement and marketing outreach.
- **Social media management**:Create, schedule, and post content on social media channels, helping to maintain a robust and engaging online presence. Maintain and update content calendars for all platforms.
- **Online reputation management**:Monitor and respond to customer reviews and social media comments to maintain positive customer relations.
- **Graphic design support**: Use tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to create basic marketing materials, social media graphics, and other creative assets that align with brand guidelines. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on design concepts.
- **Compile, analyze, and report data** for current marketing programs and use insights to suggest optimizations.
- Assist with the development of and work with external vendors and partners to ensure timely production of materials.
- Conduct **market research and competitive analysis**, contributing insights for future campaigns.
- **Website updates**: Coordinate website edits and updates, ensuring accuracy and fresh content across all digital platforms.
- **Coordinate initial marketing material **needs for new site launches, ensuring consistency with the company’s branding and marketing strategy.
- Serve as a key point of contact for **external vendors**, assisting in sourcing and coordinating marketing materials and promotional items.
- **Assist in long-term planning initiatives**, learning strategic aspects of marketing to support future career growth.
- **Assume increased responsibilities **as you demonstrate capability, with the potential to step into more leadership roles when required.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- 1-2 years of marketing experience, ideally in a multifaceted environment with a diverse range of tasks and projects.
- Basic skills in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar tools, with an eye for detail and creativity.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to work effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, taking initiative and showing curiosity.
- Experience with social media management, digital marketing platforms, and basic website management (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency with marketing analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges; open to growing into higher-level responsibilities.
