Bookkeeper/Office Assistant

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Update and maintain general ledger, trial balance, entries reconciliation
- Perform month-end, year-end closings
- Enter data, maintain records, create reports and financial statements
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Process accounts receivable/payable, including clients invoices, contractor invoices, employees expenses reimbursements
- Set up accounts for clients, employees and contractors in the accounting system (SAGE) for payment processing
- Issue and send client invoices in a timely manner
- Communicate with both internal and external parties associated requests in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Tracking and completing all accounting tasks to deadlines
- Proactively suggest way to improve record keeping, accounting system
- **Verifying sub-trades conformities CCQ, CNESST, Revenu Quebec ect.**

**Position Requirements**

**Competencies**:

- Must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Solid working knowledge of Word, Excel and **SAGE SIMPLY ACCOUNTING**:

- Comfortable learning about and working with different technology tools
- Excellent organizational skill, focus and exceptional attention to details
- Ability to work successfully to meet specific timelines with limited supervision
- Strong follow up skills and ability to multitask
- Dedication to learning and growing in their craft
- Excellent teamwork skills and collaborative nature

**Education and Experience**:

- 2+ years proven bookkeeping and accounting experience for a similar business **(Construction Company) General Contracting**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Part-time flexible

**Salary**: To be discussed based on experience
