Human Resources Generalist

As a Human Resources generalist, you will be responsible for all day-to-day administrative activities for an employee base of 160 +. Reporting to the HR Director, you will be specifically responsible for:
- Day to day administration of Human Resources processes and services in support of company management and all employees.
- Facilitate all activities related to Recruitment & Selection; Onboarding, Employee Training, Health & Safety, Compensation and Benefits Administration, Resource Planning, Employee Relations, Performance Management and all compliance requirements.
- Provide guidance and advice to management in interpreting Human Resources policies and procedures and support the provision of a safe and healthy work environment for all company employees.
- Assist management and employees in resolving conflicts, work related questions or issues in an effort to maintain positive employee relations and harmonious work environment.
- Bi-weekly Payroll processing.
- Perform other duties as assigned including HR projects, support to accreditation requirements, etc.
We require you to have the following:
- At least one year of practical Human Resources experience in a production type environment
- Be CHRL designated or working toward the designation.
- Previous experience processing payroll with a third-party provider; ADP preferred
- Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, and creativity to deal with changing needs and situations.
- Proven track record with action orientation and timely decision making.
- Ability to work independent of supervision when required, but also know when to seek advice and assistance from the HR Director.
- Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships and professional boundaries with people in the course of work.
- A positive attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and change course if priorities have to change.

The company also performs chemical _Cannabis_ laboratory testing for the country's various cannabis programs.
