**Assistant Payroll Manager - Time & Attendance Specialist (Full-time/Permanent)**
- Hybrid model at any of the following office locations: Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Vancouver, Halifax, or Winnipeg._

The Assistant Payroll Manager - Time & Attendance Specialist is a key position within Indigo, being at the heart of the operations. The person in this position will be responsible for supporting and leading the payroll of over 1500 employees across the country. Working closely with the Payroll Manager, he will be in charge of the payroll system, processes, strategy, and service efficiency for regional and head office operations.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Assistant Payroll Manager - Time & Attendance Specialist is supporting full cycle payroll operations for Canada. Key aspect of this position are accuracy and timeliness, consistency of service and a desire for sustained improvement and exceptional service.

The Assistant Payroll Manager - Time & Attendance Specialist will be responsible for implementing best practices and processes as well as managing the payroll system.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the full cycle of Canadian payroll for a high volume in all Canadian provinces. Be the backup for the Payroll Manager.
- Training of the payroll specialist.
- Support configuration of the payroll module.
- Support configuration of the time & attendance module.
- Support configuration of the Scheduling module.
- Project Manage the analysis, selection, implementation, and deployment of a new Time & Attendance solution.
- Ensures that all payroll systems configurations are regularly updated, thoroughly tested, and compliant with both corporate and statutory requirements.
- Provide training & support on the entire Payroll eco-system to users and stakeholders.
- Create documentation on best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Configure in WFN validation tables and Enhance Time labour level entries.
- Prepare all required internal and external reports as well as month-end reports.
- Calculate retroactive pay, various bonuses, and other compensation elements.
- Monitor and control compliance with various laws, collective agreements, and administrative directives.
- Process hiring & terminations.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of the complete payroll cycle (i.e. Schedule, Time & Attendance, Payroll, ROE).
- Knowledge of current Canadian Legislative requirements and CRA regulations.
- Good knowledge of provincial (All) and federal legislation.
- Significant experience with the management of collective agreements.
- Master the payroll software (ADP, WFN, Time & Attendance, Scheduling).
- Intermediate level in MS Excel.
- Excellent time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Good initiative and team spirit.
- Experience with group benefits and pension plans (an asset)
- French is mandatory
