Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounting information and reporting, working closely with the Finance and Supply Chain teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- Match invoices with packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documents to ensure goods or services delivered, pricing, and invoice calculations are correct and proper authorization of purchase have been followed
- Code invoices accurately to ensure correct cost allocation and posts into the A/P sub-ledger; provides batches for review and posts to the GL
- Reviews, researches, and resolves payment discrepancy between PO, receiving report, and vendor invoice
- Ensures compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Responds to and resolves inquiries from vendors, operations, purchasing, and other departments in a professional and timely manner
- Reviews vendor payment terms and processes invoices in order to receive associated discounts
- Monitors aging accounts payable and proactively ensures adherence to terms
- Sorts and files invoices and backups to ensure ease of retrieval for internal requirements and audit
- Processes regular cheque runs for relevant branches
- Sorts, distributes, and mails cheques together with supporting documentation
- Reconciles month-end A/P sub-ledgers to GL account balances
- Ensures compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school or college diploma in related field
- 2+ years’ general accounting experience
- Detailed and task-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work to deadlines
