Employment Enhancement Facilitator
As an Employment Enhancement Facilitator, you will be instrumental in empowering individuals to improve their employability skills and secure meaningful employment. Reporting to the program manager, your role focuses on delivering training and development sessions that enhance participants' interviewing and presentation skills. With a strong emphasis on recruiting and teaching, you will guide individuals through the job search process, equipping them with the necessary tools to succeed. Your expertise in training will be vital in fostering a supportive environment that promotes personal and professional growth. Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of job seekers.
- Develop and compile appropriate curriculum materials for presentations and classes, utilizing the Skills for Success Model.
- Provide training to program participants in group and one-on-one format in the areas of:
- 9 Core areas: Reading, Document Use, Numeracy, writing, Digital, Problem Solving, Communication, Collaboration, Adaptability, Creativity and Innovation.
- Training may include other skills as required to secure & retain employment and self-sufficiency.
- Work in collaboration with the Program Coordinator to securing on-the-job training (OJT) positions for participants.
- Helping the Program Coordinator with creating valuable networking opportunities and employment matches for participants.
- Maintain effective communication with Program Coordinator.
- Complete administrative tasks (e.g. time sheets, incident reports, monthly client progress reports, quarterly client narratives).
- Create a develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) with each participant.
- Develop personal/work goals with participants.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for participants.
- Reporting on attendance and evaluations.
- Program planning, facilitation, and behavior management.
- Provide professional mentorship, group behavior guidelines and regular debrief sessions about the creative process and group dynamics to ensure a stable and productive group.
- Assigning at homework and research to support participants’ action plans.
- Help and support to participants as requited as they transition to OJT placements and assist the Program coordinator with on-the-job maintenance support.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**
- A theoretical and working knowledge of mental health and addictions.
- Familiarity with disabilities.
- Experience working with people experiencing barriers to the workforce.
- Familiarity with the labor market.
- Familiarity with employment counseling
- Coaching, supporting, and assisting people with barriers in building support strategies.
- Trauma informed.
- Teamwork.
- Creative thinker.
- Motivating, and dynamic.
- Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate and engage with diverse audience
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships and support client needs
