Administrative Support Agent, Class I

Nature of the Work:

- The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in performing a set of administrative functions of a relatively complex nature according to established methods and procedures and clerical functions related to activities in this area.
- CECS responsibilities include non-credit, credit division, AEC, corporate training, international and other dossiers.**Responsibilities**:
- Member of the reception workgroup
- Greet, screen and direct the public, corporate clients, students and faculty to the appropriate person and/or information
- Respond efficiently and effectively to inquiries (by phone, in-person, or electronic means)
- Assist in admission and course registration, including payment collection, interview scheduling, testing, etc.
- Register individuals in courses and follow up as required (confirmations, cancellations, postponements, etc.)
- Assist in course set-up and management (e.g. Moodle, Mia)
- Manage calendars (non-credit courses, academic advising appointments, placement testing, etc.)
- Prepare daily reports, including cash deposit reports
- Provide general support to instructors and faculty
- Perform other related tasks

**Length of the contract**: April 2023 to May 27, 2023 (w/ possible extension)

**Requirements**:

- Qualifications:

- To have a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) with appropriate specialty or a secondary school diploma (DES) or have a diploma or attestation of studies, which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have at least one (1) year of pertinent experience.
- Conditions:
- Intermediate level Excel and Word (testing may be required)
- Advanced oral and written English communication skills (testing may be required)
- Intermediate oral and written French communication skills (testing may be required)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of activity
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently, to problem-solve and exercise sound judgement
- Knowledge of student information systems (e.g. Clara, Mia) an asset
- Knowledge of payment process (e.g. Moneris) an asset
