Nature of the work:

- The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in performing a set of administrative functions of a relatively complex nature according to methods and procedures and to clerical functions related to current activities of the employee’s area.
- Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, the principal and customary work of the employee of this class consists in performing support duties related to the Outdoor Physical Education programs during weekdays and to PARC activities during the weekend. The employee has to perform technical operations, set up, distributions, and general services required for the operation of the sports facility and other related items on weekends.
- This position requires initiative and the ability to work independently. For temporary replacement purposes, secondary functions may include, but are not limited to assignment to audiovisual services and printing.**Responsibilities**:

- PARC Desk Duties- Ensures the preparation of equipment and apparatus for all activities;
- Responds to demands and requests for information and when required, registers applicants for programs or activities;
- Performs data entry for general services, inventory, accounting and record keeping;
- Provides the supervision of student monitors as well as, activities in the gymnasium, guard against theft, etc;
- Ensures that the inventory of equipment and supplies is in optimal condition and that an adequate reserve is maintained;
- Participates in annual inventory of equipment and supplies;
- Ensures that the equipment, work surfaces and materials are kept clean and in good operating order;
- Responds to complaints from users regarding the equipment and related problems;
- Performs regularly scheduled, minor maintenance and repairs on the equipment and materials reporting equipment requiring major repairs;
- Keeps, prepares and maintains appropriate files, inventory of supplies, records and statistical reports;
- Performs tasks required in the operations and maintenance of a sports complex;
- Expected to do general cleaning pertaining to the general upkeep of the sports complex;
- Verifies accuracy of merchandise as per packing slips and purchase orders receives and delivers merchandise;
- Performs other related tasks.

Outdoor Education Support- Distributes and collects equipment for students and staff for courses or programs including outdoor education;
- Collects rental agreement forms and organizes class layout and returns;
- Ensures equipment goes out and returns clean and in good repair;
- Collects rental fees;
- Tracks late returns, lost items, etc.;
- Communicates with teachers to ensure timely return of equipment;
- Manages rental fees (reporting, deposit and ensure proper transfer to OE budget);- Manages equipment inventory:

- Manages all OE equipment:

- ? Performs bi-annual inventory (at the end of each semester);
- ? Breakdowns and assembles semester specific equipment prior to the start of sign-out;
- ? Reports damages or equipment no longer usable;
- ? Stocks first aid kits and coordinates with teachers to ensure all kits are ready, as required;
- Coordinates replacement of equipment;
- Creates all requisitions for purchases, as required;
- Performs minor repairs, as needed;
- Coordinates repairs that are more extensive with outside suppliers, as necessary;
- Performs other related tasks.**Requirements**:

- Qualifications:

- To have a diploma of vocation studies (DEP) with an appropriate specialty or a secondary school diploma (DES) or have a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have at least one (1) year of pertinent experience.
- Conditions:
- Knowledge of the requirements for different sports and sports equipment;
- Task oriented;
- Advanced oral and written English communication skills (testing may be required);
- Basic oral and written French communication skills (testing may be required);
- Must possess good customer service skills;
- Basic level Word and Excel (testing may be required)
