As a leader in community inclusion of individuals with developmental, medical, and/or complex physical needs, PHSS supports individuals with developmental, medical, and/or complex physical needs to live in their own homes and participate in community with family and friends.

Based in London, Ontario, PHSS supports more than 200 individuals in more than 60 locations across Ontario, providing 24-hour residential supports, day and overnight respite, specialized complex medical care and intensive behavioural supports, recreational programs, and support for individuals living at home with their families. By offering home-based supports, PHSS provides an alternative to institutional care by reducing the pressure on hospitals and institutions and in many cases, substantially reduce the cost of care.

PHSS is actively seeking a motivated, detail-oriented **Fund Development Specialist** to join our Corporate Services team. Reporting to the Executive Lead, Corporate Services, the Fund Development Specialist is accountable for ensuring a personally fulfilling giving experience for all donors through thoughtful, planned, creative, and timely stewardship and recognition strategies that include but are not limited to: personalized donor stewardship activities, naming proposals, stewardship reports, donor events, donor feedback surveys, on-going donor communications, and public recognition when appropriate.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with volunteer committees to plan and deliver the annual signature events
- Work with volunteer committees to create new events
- Provide support and work cohesively with volunteer committees to meet goals and sponsorship targets
- Develop planning process for activities including goal setting, budgeting, timelines, critical path, and reporting
- Create unique sponsorship opportunities and develop strategies to attract new sponsors
- Keep meticulous records, using DonorPerfect to manage data, reconcile monthly donations, and issue tax receipts in a timely manner
- Ensure all sponsors and donors are stewarded in a personal and professional manner including return on investment (ROI) reports to sponsors and ensuring donor recognition commitments are fulfilled
- Deploy PHSS and PHSS Foundation stewardship plan for retention and growth of event sponsors
- Design and implement a comprehensive donor relations program
- Support the process of cohesive prospect identification and research of donors
- Ensure all prospects are cleared using proper prospect clearance process
- Deploy Foundation stewardship and cultivation plans

**Experience and Education Required**
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in fundraising, marketing, public relations, event management, or another related field is required
- 3+ years of relevant charitable fundraising/development experience is required
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is required
- Professional accreditation as a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) is an asset
- Experience with DonorPerfect is an asset
- Fluency in French is an asset
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required
- Experience writing effective and persuasive grant proposals is an asset
- A Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required;

**Salary**: $53,000.00 per year
