Manager, Connectivity

Location: Toronto

The Manager, Connectivity works in a highly collaborative, communicative capacity, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver best-in-class APIs leveraging industry standards. The Manager I, Connectivity is energized by creative problem solving, and can lead, direct, and aid in the development of, less experienced staff. Manager I’s are expected to recruit, retain, and promote staff accordingly.

You’re great at:

- Excellent understanding of end-user needs, and an ability to translate end-user needs into robust digital solutions.
- Excellent ability to translate digital requirements into actionable technological roadmaps.
- Demonstrated experience with Onshore/Offshore delivery model and leading onshore and offshore team.
- Excellent knowledge of Azure/Cloud native technologies, APIM Gateways, Security and Azure DevOps/Jira.
- Excellent professional communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a senior team member.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Strong ability to resolve day-to-day problems/issues competently and efficiently quickly and accurately.
- Excellent ability to resolve routine/minor conflicts efficiently, and knowledge of when to escalate.
- Excellent ability to manage multiple, complex desktop projects.
- Excellent knowledge of Agile-specialty area best practices.
- Set own, less experienced staff’s, daily work priorities.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Proactively update internal and external documentation processes.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional and technical development for self and team.
- Extensive experience providing over-the-phone support to clients and other departments.
- Extensive experience in developing process improvement initiatives.
- Experience leveraging Insurance Data Standards (CSIO) in driving adoption of new solutions is preferred.

You have:

- 5+ years’ experience leading technology teams using modern technologies & methodologies
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior IT role
- 1-4 years’ experience managing a team of 2 or more.
- Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred) and/or equivalent on-the-job experience.
