**Summary of Position**:
Reporting to the Accountant, the Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for financial and administrative duties to ensure effective and accurate operations of the Accounting Dept.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Verify receipt of raw materials; confirm date and BOL weight vs. actual weight of material received.
- Convert all receiving data to kilograms to lbs or vice versa prior to entering in accounting systems.
- Match purchase orders to vendors invoices; confirm prices, quantity and code with General Ledger account #.
- Enter invoices in accounting system for payments.
- Enter freight invoices and customs invoices in accounting system for payments.
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoicing discrepancies and payment inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Process monthly cheque run from approved payment list.
- Create and/or update reports, trackers, and spreadsheets.
- Update and maintain vendor information files.
- Maintain accounts payable document files.
- Order office and kitchen supplies

**Qualifications**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service, planning, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with _‘_**cie-Trade’**_or an inventory purchase / sales order tracking software.
- Familiarity with Banking Software for creating Wire Transfers / Etransfers to vendors.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Information collection and management skills.

**Education**
- College/university - with major in Accounting or Business Administration

**Experience**

Minimum 2 years experience
