**Communications Coordinator**
**Three-Year Contract, Part-Time**
**(24 hours per week, 0.6 FTE)**

The West Toronto Ontario Health Team (WTOHT) is looking for a Communications Coordinator. This role will be essential to telling the story of how we seek to improve the experiences of, and outcomes for, people living and seeking care in West Toronto for all stages of life by becoming one connected system of health and social care.

Under the direction of the WTOHT Director, the Communications Coordinator will use their writing and visual design skills to draft communications materials, newsletters, social media posts and other West Toronto OHT brand assets as required.

**Responsibilities**

The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for executing and implementing the following:

- Creating engaging content for West Toronto OHT social media channels including Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook;
- Drafting and assembling three newsletters each month aimed at West Toronto OHT members, primary care providers and the wider community;
- Designing posters and other West Toronto OHT brand assets as required; and
- Supporting the growth of West Toronto OHT’s online engagement platform - Engage WTOHT.

**Qualifications & Key Skills**
- Strong writing skills with demonstrated experience writing for newsletters and social media;
- Familiarity with social media platforms, mailing list services, and associated technology;
- Strong design skills with demonstrated experience designing posters and other communication materials;
- Experience in narrative storytelling with a focus on community initiatives and profiling leading community organizations; and
- Demonstrated cultural competency while working with people of diverse cultural, age and economic backgrounds as well as marginalized individuals.

**Job Type**: Contract part-time role

**Hours of Work**: Flexible hours with some routine daytime meetings working a 24 hour workweek.

**Annual Salary**:$37,498.50 working 24 hours per week (annualized full-time equivalent of $62,500 per annum) plus paid vacation days.
