**A Brief Overview**
The Research Systems team at Queen's University supports the maintenance and development of digital programs that are essential to the university research community. These programs streamline the electronic management of submissions, reviews, administration, promotion, and reporting for research projects and contracts.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Research Systems, the Project Manager, Research Systems will collaborate closely with the VP Research Portfolio team and campus partners. This role involves assessing process change requests and recommending enhancements to existing systems to ensure they meet the evolving requirements of research funding and partnerships. The Project Manager, Research Systems will remain current on vendor updates, platform best practices, and emerging technologies that support system integration and reduce administrative burdens. Additionally, they will develop training resources and guidance to support users in adapting to system changes while integrating updates across planning, design, development, and implementation processes for current and future systems.
This position manages projects, and acts as the project lead by developing work plans, investigating issues, seeking feedback, managing risks, anticipating challenges, and making recommendations. This position provides strategic support, coordination, research, modelling and analysis to contribute to the completion of project deliverables. This position works closely with senior leadership team on communications to raise awareness for the project."

"**What you will do**

Acts as the project lead for small-scale projects by developing work plans, investigating issues, seeking feedback, managing risks, anticipating challenges, and making recommendations.

Takes the lead in developing strategies to collect, organize, model and analyze information from a variety of different sources. Conducts data analysis and performs research to support the collection, synthesis, and interpretation of complex material and data to facilitate decision making.Analyses information requests and defines data requirements.Leads and conducts information gathering exercises.Develops communications plans to raise awareness of the projects.Oversees the project budget, and identifies costs and processes expenses.Schedules and assigns work, and provides direction on its completion. Coordinates and monitors workflow.
- Prepare project schedules.Supports and coordinates the recruitment of the Community Advisory Board and community researchers and provides support in their project work.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.

**Required Education**
- Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent.

**Required Experience**
- More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.

Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Job Knowledge and Requirements**

- Take action to remove obstacles and address problems before they impact performance and results.
