**Your opportunity**:
As the Alumni Relations Officer, you will play an essential role in the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative alumni relations programs that enhance alumni affinity to the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and its academic units. You will be relied upon to develop and implement strategic programs and services in the areas of alumni, mentorship and donor engagement, build and foster relationships with alumni donors and prospects, and provide guidance to departments and student groups on alumni relations and involvement, including best practices and processes. Your high degree of professionalism, collaborative approach and well developed interpersonal and communication skills will be critical to driving the faculty’s vision forward and for achieving great success in this role

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and implementing programs and initiatives, in the areas of alumni and donor engagement that support strategic objectives
- Building and strengthening relationships and engagement with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance, including alumni, donors, volunteers and prospects
- Promoting alumni and donor engagement opportunities and conceptualizing, organizing, and executing event activities
- Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives and analyzing the impact of programming on alumni engagement
- Keeping well-informed on industry best practices and trends and serving as a resource to departments and student groups to provide advice and guidance on mentorship programs and alumni relations.
- Providing work direction to alumni volunteer and mentors.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four years of relevant experience in a combination of alumni relations, volunteer management and front-line customer service
- Demonstrated success in new program development, implementation and evaluation
- Experience coordinating events, including implementing virtual event technologies
- Experience building and strengthening relationships with alumni, student groups and other individuals of strategic importance
- Knowledge of the Faculty of Medicine, its applicable policies and community partners
- Experience managing databases and generating reports
- Experience fostering positive relationships with prospective and existing donors
- Experience analyzing and measuring metrics and key performance indicators, managing databases and generatingreports
- Experience developing communications, marketing plans and written materials (invitation letters, solicitation letters, briefing materials, mailing lists)
- Experience recruiting, leading and motivating volunteers
- Ability to operate effectively in complex multi-stakeholder environments, such as education and healthcare, and working with academics and physicians whose vision for changing the world demands both excellence and results
