- Tundra has an opportunity for an **HR Coordinator. **This role will ideally be based out of Tundra’s **Virden, Manitoba **office; however, is open to be based out of Winnipeg, MB or Calgary, AB. The incumbent in this role will be eligible to participate in Tundra’s hybrid work schedule.
The HR Coordinator will be responsible for daily responsibilities including recruitment & selection support, new hire onboarding, training and development support, as well as providing HR services and support to the VP, Human Resources, the Managers, and employees.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Records management:
- Create and maintain new electronic employee personnel files for all locations.
- Assist in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) maintenance, data entry.
- Maintaining performance review records
- Cleaning up and organizing HR electronic file system.
- Organize new hire onboarding, which includes:
- Preparation of the employee packages.
- Schedule the various onboarding departmental requirements/times (HR, IT, Safety, Vehicle - if applicable).
- Arrange for pre-employment screening (if safety sensitive position).
- Update HR orientation material as needed.
- Assist in managing all HR internal checklists (New Hires, Consultant’s New Hires, Terminations, and Promotions/Transfers/Changes)
- Produce employment letters and correspondence as requested by members of the HR team.
- Prepare employment packages of information for recruitment, employment changes, departures, and a variety of HR items.
- Produce employment verification letters.
- Assist in the recruitment process, which includes:
- Posting job vacancies internally and externally.
- Support the HR Advisor, Talent Acquisition and Development with the hiring and coordination of the summer student program.
- Create new employee profiles on Intranet
- Manage the monthly probationary review process for all locations.
- Support the HR Advisor, Talent Acquisition and Development with training coordination, which includes:
- Sending training invites to employees
- Partner with administration team to arrange logistics such as training location, catering, and materials
- Import employee data including training records into HRIS.
- Routinely enter completed employee Professional Development/Training forms into HRIS from SharePoint PD/Training Workflow system.
- Provide inter-departmental HR support to other HR team members as required.
- Assist in the preparation of a variety of employee and HR correspondence.
- Code and approve invoices in Concur and Open Invoice in support of VP, Human Resources
- Provide research assistance on any HR related items.
- Education in Human Resources such as a diploma or a degree.
- Minimum 1-year Human Resources experience
- Prior HRIS experience is preferred.
- Results focused with ability to work independently and productively under time pressures.
- A high level of initiative, team collaboration, along with the desire to continually improve.
- Strong problem solving and judgment skills. Superior listening and interpretative skills.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of confidentiality and discretion is required.
- Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities ensuring all deadlines are met accordingly
- Adhere to the safety accountabilities as per Tundra’s Safety Policy.
