**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will assist the Manager, Payroll Services with a variety of key payroll and benefits functions. The Payroll and Benefits administrator's duties include but are not limited to the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, benefits administration, reviewing employee inquiries, and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Multi-tasking and having the ability to plan and prioritize will be very important in this role as you will be supporting a variety of initiatives. Strong communication skills and the necessity of confidentiality will be critical to this position. Ultimately the Payroll and Benefits administrator will be able to plan and process all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefits programs.

Assist the Manager, Payroll Services in all payroll and benefits administrative activities including:

- Administration of bi-weekly payroll for all CPX Employees.
- Collect and verify timesheets and other payroll information from appropriate parties.
- Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are delivered accurately and on time.
- Ensuring employee life-cycle changes are reflected and recorded across systems.
- Enter employee data for appropriate documentation and tracking i.e. ADP and other tools used to track and review Payroll metrics.
- Prepare year-end tax information (T4’s and T2200’s), ROE’s and other employee documentation.
- Administer the employee group benefits plan and Group RRSP/TFSA plans including enrolling, terminating employees, reconciling benefits, preparing invoices, and updating premiums in the payroll system.
- Advise and inform employees of the details of the company's benefit programs.
- Resolve benefit-related issues and respond to queries and requests in a timely manner.
- Supports development of new and/or existing benefits programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive and cost effective.
- Maintain confidential and accurate employee records.
- Supporting with project work and other duties as required.
- Other duties and special projects as required.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- National Payroll Institute Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll administration
- Minimum 1 year experience in benefits administration
- Proficiency in payroll software programs, ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Strong numerical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of payroll legislation under the Canada Labour Code
- Able to plan, prioritize and multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and diplomacy skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage confidential information and practice discretion
