Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently seeking an ambitious **Payroll and Benefits Manager** to join our Finance team. This position will work out of our **Surrey office** location. We are a dynamic group working in a fast-paced environment looking for someone that is career-focused, and excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm.
**The Role**
- Working alongside payroll administrators to process payroll and benefit functions for our 8 markets, spanning across 4 jurisdictions (AB, BC, NWT, and YT) for approximately 350 employees.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial/territorial statutes regarding payroll functions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Liaise between benefit carrier, and employees and participate in annual discussions with brokers.
- Identify, develop, and implement updates and changes to payroll policies, systems, and processes.
- Work closely with Finance team on GL integration with payroll platform, ADP Workforce Now.
- Consult clients on various payroll and benefit inquiries as required.
- Various duties as related and required for the success of the Finance team.
**What You Will Bring**
- Certified PCP or CPM designation required.
- 5+ years of experience with full-cycle payroll & benefits management required.
- 2+ years of experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll software required.
- Experience with payroll software implementation and mapping processes considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability to develop and implement payroll processes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Outlook) and specifically advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage change working with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills and project management experience.
- Prior experience in professional services (accounting or law firm) would be considered an asset.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and work well in a team setting.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, strong ability to prioritize.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Experience in provinces and territories in which we operate considered an asset.
