- Job SummaryInput Clerks may also assist the GARO Advisors and Officers with other projects as requested and will assist with training new hires, including casual and work study student staff. Working as part of the GARO team, this position will be on rotation to cover front counter staff.
- Job Requirements**Skills**:

- Demonstrated intermediate level of technical proficiency in working with computer systems, programs and data bases.
- High degree of accuracy while managing high volumes of detailed, time-sensitive information.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in response to operational needs.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions effectively and without compromising accuracy or attention to detail.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and work effectively both as an individual and in a team environment.
- Commitment to providing an outstanding applicant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

**Specialized Knowledge/Education**:

- One or more years of post-secondary education preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of standard administrative software such as MS Office, financial and student information systems, and complex databases. Preference given to knowledge of Banner, Xtender, FAST or similar.
- Understanding of the Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy (FOIPP) as it relates to student records, as well as the ethical and confidentiality guidelines of the institution.
- Preference given to knowledge of University admissions policies at the Graduate level.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 1 year experience working within an office environment; experience working in a Registrar’s Office or other area of a large postsecondary institution is considered an asset.
- Experience using a range of standard office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information while adhering to FOIPP regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working quickly and accurately on a variety of tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Experience with computerized student information systems and database programs, including Banner, Banner Document Management (BDM), and ING Docs is considered an asset.
