**About Us**:
**Taylor Steel Inc.** is a privately owned Steel Service Center that is a progressive, customer driven leader in the flat-rolled steel processing industry, located in Stoney Creek, Ontario. **Taylor Steel Inc. **sells and processes high quality, value added flat rolled steel to customers throughout North America.

We have an immediate opening for a Payroll Clerk to ensure the accurate and timely processing of our hourly payroll, and to perform various clerical and accounting tasks such as data management and keeping the employee information that is relevant to payroll purposes up to date.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Process bi-weekly payroll for all hourly employees.
- Review Time and Attendance reports and entries for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure that hours are categorized and allocated to correct cost centers.
- Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems.
- Create required internal management reports from the payroll system.
- Assist with year end payroll procedures.
- Respond accurately and professionally to employee inquiries in regard to payroll.
- Adhere to all payroll procedures and policies.

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma in relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with payroll.
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll processing procedures and payroll tax laws.
- Strong assets
- Work experience in multi-shift manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Clear written and verbal communications.
- Good time management, attention to detail, and data entry skills.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
