The Financial Performance Specialist will be responsible for analyzing data and assisting with financial reporting. This role will provide support to the Finance department, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes.

  • This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial, accounting, and statistical records, preparing concise spreadsheets and reports.
  • The successful candidate will prepare analysis of general ledger or payroll accounts as required, compiling budget or costing information, and reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with month-end accruals and year-end audit preparation.
  • This role requires collecting, compiling, analyzing, and documenting data to provide budgetary projections for various programs.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts, clearing cheques, and direct deposits are also part of this role.
  • The Financial Performance Specialist will review and approve accounts payable and accounts receivable journals prior to posting.
  • Internal audit functions will be performed as determined by Senior Leadership to ensure compliance with organizational Policies and Procedures, identifying reportable issues and areas of potential risk.
  • This role is responsible for reconciliations, analysis, and reports for boarding rate analysis.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Community College Diploma in Accounting is preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably in a not-for-profit setting, with payroll experience being an asset.
  • Excellent computer and systems skills are required, including Microsoft Word and Excel and accounting systems, with experience using Oracle being an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and report writing ability are essential.
  • Completion of Level I of the Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner Program is an asset.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $60,304 - $73,370 and provides opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
