IT Help Desk Technician

As the go-to problem solver, you'll handle a wide range of responsibilities, including receiving, prioritizing, and expertly resolving end user help requests. Your exceptional documentation skills will come in handy as you keep track of every issue and its resolution, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

**What you’ll be doing**
- User Support: Provide timely and effective support to users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, network, and other IT-related problems.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, utilizing your knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Fortinet, and various enterprise software.
- Communication: Clearly communicate technical solutions to non-technical users, ensuring customer satisfaction and understanding.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze and effectively solve complex technical problems, contributing to a seamless IT operation.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of IT issues, solutions, and user interactions, ensuring efficient tracking and resolution.
- Hardware Provisioning: Procure and provision new hardware, including laptops, tablets, phones, monitors, and other office technology. Set up new remote offices with necessary IT equipment such as internet connectivity, printers, and touch screens.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to manage and support the IT infrastructure, including new hardware and software deployments.
- Training and Guidance: Assist in training users on new technologies and IT policies to ensure efficient and secure use of IT resources.
**What you bring to the team**:
- Proven experience in an IT Help Desk or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure environments, and virtualization.
- Experience with network management and security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Superior communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to document and maintain accurate records of IT incidents and resolutions.
- Familiarity with mobile device management, remote access software, and endpoint protection.
- Ability to consistently meet changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
**Must have experience with the following**:
- Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (Windows Server, Microsoft Azure)
- Mobile device management
- Microsoft 365 suite
- Windows 10/11
- Systems hardware
**Experience with the following would be considered an asset**:
- Authentication and access management solution
- Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
- Enterprise software (Sage 300 CRE, TimberScan, Sales Simplicity)
- Scripting/programming (PowerShell, Power BI)
- Network skills relating to TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and Active Directory
**Qualifications and Education**
- Post secondary education such as a technical diploma in information systems or similar education would be preferred.
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- This position requires a valid Driver’s license as this role requires various developments/construction sites approximately 10% of the time._
