**Payroll Administrator**

SSC Security Services Corp. is a TSX Venture Exchange-listed holding company which provides physical, cyber, and electronic security services across Canada. SSC currently has approximately three thousand employees and is based out of Regina, Saskatchewan.

We have a permanent full-time opportunity in our Regina head office for a well-organized individual to manage all aspects of the payroll function.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Maintain and update employee information, such as records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements
- Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance
- Verifying and accurately entering statutory holidays, vacations, sick days, bereavement, leave of absence and other employee absences in the payroll software
- Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for administration of benefits
- Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, records of employment and other statements
- Compile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts
- Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a time manner
- Responsible for the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and processes
- Other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education or diploma focusing on payroll functions
- 2+ years recent experience in a high-volume payroll environment
- Knowledge of employment standards and labour laws in Canada
- Comprehensive understanding of benefits administration processes
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and internal controls
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, focusing specifically on Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
