- As the Payroll Administrator, you will serve as the first point of contact for all REAL staff (in scope and out of scope) to provide information, answer payroll and benefit inquiries and resolve automated time and attendance and payroll issues. While you are in this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing bi-weekly payroll for unionized hourly employees and out of scope salaried employees. You will be required to maintain strict confidentiality while ensuring payments are made in accordance with legislation, union agreements and policies._

**_WHAT YOU WILL DO_**
- _
- _Deliver, support, and maintain established compensation and benefit programs, policies, and services._
- _
- _Support the People Services department by monitoring and reporting of key performance metrics related to employee time and attendance, pay and benefits._
- _
- _Manage employee enrollment and deductions for benefit plans._
- _
- _Preparing third party payroll remittances; generating, reviewing, and reconciling payroll reports._
- _
- _Maintaining staffing information and files (both electronic and hard copy)._
- _
- _Maintaining sound and transparent processes for auditing purposes; identifying efficiencies and record processes and procedures._
- _
- _Supports delivery of employee experience activities._
- _
- _Performing other duties as allocated._

- _Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is required._
- _
- _Minimum post-secondary payroll and computer courses (automated payroll, and time & attendance systems) along with completed secondary school diploma._
- _
- _Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a computerized payroll environment._
- _
- _Experience with Kronos time management systems is preferred._
- _
- _Experience in a unionized environment considered an asset._
- _
- _Experience in the use of advanced functions of computers including Windows based software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook._
- _
- _Knowledge of relevant Saskatchewan and Federal legislation: Saskatchewan Employment Act, Human Rights, Worker's Compensation, Canada Revenue Agency, Employment Insurance (EI), etc._

- _Proven ability to deal tactfully and decisively with sensitive client issues while maintaining the highest levels of customer service and confidentiality._

- _Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and effectively handle changing priorities._
- _
- _Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment._

- _Note that this position is an in-scope position under the RWDSU Collective Agreement. Shift start & stop times may be adjusted during course of employment, based on operational requirements._
