**Your role at Baxter**:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team. If you are passionate about HR, and interested in an opportunity to support our Kidney Care division. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of HR - Kidney Care Canada and will be responsible for various HR functions including payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding new employees, handling HR policies, and supporting compliance with health and safety regulations.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Accurately process and manage payroll for all employees (approx 200), ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks, maintain payroll records, and resolve any payroll-related discrepancies or issues, collaborating with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Collaborate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientation sessions and assisting with paperwork completion.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure new employees have the necessary resources and access to perform their job duties effectively.
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures following legal requirements and industry-standard processes.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Development and planning of health and wellness programs, including producing employment letters and providing reports and analyzing/auditing HR data.
- Maintaining accurate HRIS data and liaising with global centers of excellence as needed.

**What you'll bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration, or a related field, CHRP designation an asset
- 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus on payroll, benefits or HR
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and payroll software (Ceridian preferred).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
