Payroll Coordinator

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc., an HF Sinclair company, is seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, including payroll and timekeeping, employee relations, benefits, HRIS, training, and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to employees, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of all inquiries.
- Aid in the administration of SAP data entry and payroll for hourly, salaried, and field sales employees, including special compensation.
- Prepare stewardship reports and analysis on payroll and time quotas, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, rules, regulations, and laws.
- Assist with the administration of the time-keeping system, including Banked Stats, Earned Days Off, and Vacation Quotas.
- Support on-site time administrators and provide analytical information related to payroll expense distribution.
- Assist with payroll accounting duties, including GL account reconciliations and accrual analysis.
- Provide support to all levels of financial management, including special projects related to payroll and time reporting.
- Process Record of Employment (ROE) for leaves, terminations, and retirements.
- Input employee data into HRIS, payroll system, and/or other systems as applicable.
- Prepare routine and non-routine correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents.
- Compile and summarize data for management reports.
- Respond to routine to moderately complex inquiries regarding payroll, benefits eligibility, and compensation.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of on-the-job experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- SAP and CATS (Cross Applications Time Sheets) experience.
- University degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent years of related work experience.
- Working knowledge of SAP Payroll system, including CATS.
- Ability to successfully complete advanced, complex payroll assignments.
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, v-look up, pivot tables, and other functions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical, and detail-oriented.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others in both written and verbal communication.
- Office-based with up to 5% travel by land and air, subject to all weather and varying road conditions.
- Frequent interaction with Corporate HR in Dallas, TX, and Local HR and Financial Management in Mississauga, ON.
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 20lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 10lbs, perceiving color differences, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential.
