**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Have completed a post-secondary degree and/or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 2 years of fundraising, event planning, sales or service experience;
- Experience working with donors, event participants, and volunteers, or an interest in learning;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships with internal and external partners;
- Flexible and able to manage a diverse workload;
- Attentive to detail, highly organized and demonstrated capacity to multitask high-priority items;
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as video chat technology and familiarity with various social medial channels;
- Experience using a database is an asset. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is a strong asset; and
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Gutsy Walk:

- Plan and execute regional Gutsy Walk events in collaboration with other functional teams and volunteer committees.
- Grow revenue through stewardship of volunteers and solicitation of sponsors.

Fundraising:

- Lead regional fundraising efforts, including planning and executing Crohn’s and Colitis Canada-led events and campaigns (including gaming) and supporting volunteer-led events and campaigns.

Volunteer Engagement:

- Act as the contact for region-based volunteers and skill-based volunteers in British Columbia.

Community Engagement:

- Work collaboratively across Crohn’s and Colitis Canada to execute the sharing and engagement of various initiatives, including patient programs, research, advocacy and awareness.

Other Responsibilities:

- Bring new ideas, thought leadership, skills and impact to other areas of the organization by participating in cross-functional teams and initiatives.
- Ensure all activity is accurately and regularly recorded in Raiser’s Edge.
- Complete all required documentation and paperwork.
- Monitor spending and execute events within the expense budget.
- Evaluate return on investment and implement improvements to achieve higher impact and return at future events.
