Madison Community Services (Madison) is a non-profit agency, which promotes the independence, health, recovery and community integration of persons with mental health challenges through the provision of mental health case management, supportive housing and a broad range of other programs and services.

**DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND RELATED TASKS**
- Assist in the delivery of public education presentations.
- Work in cooperation with management, other staff members and community partners in the provision of efficient and coordinated services.
- Conduct outreach and receive referrals from partners, including mental health service providers, health service providers, newcomer services and the broader community.
- Engage and collaborate with various community organizations/partners to develop opportunities for service delivery partnerships.
- Design and develop public education and orientation presentations.
- Conduct orientation sessions on RISE program services and workshops on topics pertaining to settlement and mental health challenges (e.g. finding affordable housing, accessing government services, navigating the health system, managing stress, etc.).
- Participate in and contribute to internal agency committees.
- Perform duties in a safe manner, in line with Madison’s Health and Safety policies and all applicable statutes.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency standards and all applicable legislation.
- Collect data related to engagement activities.
- Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of RISE Program activities and services.
- Evaluate the achievement of goals (from the perspective of both the client and workshop facilitator) and client satisfaction.
- Assist in preparing and evaluating community engagement and program reports.
- Actively participate in meetings and events related to Local Immigration Partnerships, OCASI, Toronto Newcomer Office, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Manager, Case Management Programs.

**QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Minimum 3 years of combined experience in the mental health and settlement sector.
- University degree or equivalent credentials that are relevant to social services or community mental health and addictions.
- Strong understanding of recovery values and practices.
- A demonstrated understanding of settlement issues and cultural competency.
- Self-directed and independent but also proven experience in working effectively as a team member and in collaboration with other community professionals.
- Cross-cultural communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Vulnerable Sector Background Check/ Clearance required.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills in Farsi, Arabic, Spanish, Dari, or Ukrainian are an asset.
- Understanding of relevant federal, provincial, and municipal legislation and government policies, procedures and practices pertaining to services provided by the agency
- Knowledge of client-centered philosophy, basic principles and practices of community service delivery.
- Knowledge of community resources connected to the provision of mental health and immigration and settlement services within the GTA.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, networking and facilitation skills.
- Experience leading/working with multi-stakeholder partnership planning processes and/or steering committees.
- Evaluation skills are an asset.

Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
