**WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE?**

You will:

- lead the strategic development of new business initiatives, oversee partnership opportunities, group tours, and other venue rental opportunities
- provide senior-level expertise to the Kingston Pen Tours business unit on planning, coordinating, and implementing a range of product enrichment initiatives and revitalization projects linked to greater profit margin and new business growth
- embody the SLPC’s equity, diversity and inclusion principles while interacting with staff and guests

**Qualifications**:
MANDATORY:

- A valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence or equivalent to drive on Ontario highways

BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE

You have:

- specialized knowledge in creative concept development, design, and brand positioning to conceive a range of cutting edge products and new business initiatives
- knowledge and experience in strategic marketing and communications methods in order to work with Marketing and Sponsorship team to effectively promote and market partnerships, group tours, and other out-reach opportunities in the community
- sound understanding of key deliverables linked to the business plan and budget in order to meet financial targets
- knowledge of project management methods to plan, direct, implement and evaluate multiple, concurrent project initiatives from concept to completion within established deadlines, budgets and deliverables

EVALUATION AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS

You have:

- demonstrated ability to maintain a business outlook when evaluating existing programs for enhancement/changes that provide greater return on investment and when developing new business initiatives
- strong analytical skills to guide the development of business cases, communication strategies and plans for project initiatives
- advanced research and creative design skills to seek and identify new ideas and concepts to support new initiatives

LEADERSHIP, COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

You have:

- advanced problem solving to resolve a range of ongoing issues to ensure success of all project initiatives
- supervisory, prioritizing and organizational skills to oversee staff as well as volunteers and third parties, ensuring that multiple projects are managed concurrently and completed in accordance with the urgency, established timeframes and to the performance expectations associated with a fast-paced change environment
- excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of professionals while fostering and developing a collaborative team environment; ability to troubleshoot and resolve contentious issues
- advanced oral communication, consultation, consensus and interpersonal relationship building skills to provide expertise and support to the business unit and to the SLPC as well as to negotiate business and contractual agreements with partners and service providers
- advanced writing and editing techniques to develop strategic communication plans and promotions
