Position Summary
This position works in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for assisting with customer service and clerical duties for the Building Services Department.
Duties include:
Provide professional and courteous customer service to the public, contractors, stakeholders, various departments and user groups
Provide clerical support - answer phones, respond to emails and enquiries, assist with filing, receive deliveries and perform other duties as required
Assist with data entry and various projects in the preparation of reports, presentations and the documentation of solutions
Ensure the customer perspective is a driving force behind decisions and activities
Implement service practices that meet customer and corporate needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours of work are 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications, Competencies
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AND RETURNING TO POST SECONDARY STUDIES IN FALL OF 2024 – Verification will be required.
Preference will be given to applicants enrolled in an office or business administration program.
Must demonstrate core Corporation competencies: Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Integrity, and Teamwork.
Skills, Abilities, Work Demands
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge MS Word, Excel
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Demonstrated judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential information
Ability to follow instructions and perform assigned duties with limited direct supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills
A satisfactory criminal record check will be required at successful candidate's expense.
