CNS Risk Management is a health and safety risk assessment agency for construction projects and businesses. We are based in Burnaby B.C and make sure that all personnel are safe to do their jobs and can get home to their families.

We are looking for a hardworking individual who is interested and motivated.

**Responsibilities**

Construction Safety Officer is required to perform the following duties on site:

- Preparing site safety plans
- Conducting hazard assessments, incident investigations, and risk assessments
- Ensuring all accidents, incidents, and injuries are properly investigated, documented, and reported
- Facilitating and participating in site inspections, and implementing corrective action as required
- Regularly monitoring safety compliance of workers and sub-contractors
- Preparing and conducting toolbox talks
- Preparing, writing, and maintaining safety reports
- Performing first aid as required
- Preparing, writing, and documenting first aid reports as required
- Listening and helping with worker’s concerns about worksite safety
- Performing other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- WHMIS 2015 Certificate (asset)
- Minimum Occupational First Aid Level II (OFA 2) (asset)
- All other certificates (asset)
- Respectful and professional
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards
- Proactive in identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures
- Have readily available transportation to job site (vehicle or transit works)
- Able to work under pressure
- Detail-oriented
- Able to think flexibly, and proactively solve problems
- Organized and able to multitask
- Motivated to learn, improve, and take on greater roles and responsibilities
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) for reports
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must be fluent in English, any second language is a plus
- Must be graduated from high school. Post-secondary education is not required.
