Job Summary:
As the Site HSE Coordinator (Construction Safety Officer), your role involves championing a safe and healthy workplace environment for all personnel present on site. You will offer comprehensive support in health, safety, and environmental matters, aiming not just to meet but to surpass industry benchmarks. Your duties include aiding the Project Superintendent on-site during construction and overseeing the daily execution and upkeep of tehe comppHealth, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program.
As a Site HSE Coordinator, your primary responsibilities include:
- Monitoring safety compliance among workers and subcontractors.
- Delivering site-specific health and safety orientations for all new site personnel and visitors.
- Facilitating and participating in site inspections, as well as implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Proactively identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures.
- Developing site safety plans, conducting hazard assessments, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Ensuring all accidents, incidents, and injuries are accurately reported to relevant parties.
- Reviewing subcontractor documentation for accuracy and providing feedback to personnel.
- Conducting safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Assisting the project team with additional duties as required.

As a Site HSE Coordinator, your experience and qualifications include:
Experience overseeing health and safety on construction sites is highly regarded.
Possession of a Certified Construction Safety Officer (CSO) ticket or equivalent training and experience is required.
Certification in Occupational First Aid Level III (OFA 3) is mandatory.
You possess a solid understanding of WorkSafe BC regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards.
Legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer, you meet the necessary requirements.
Pay: $22.35-$35.54 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
