**Salary**: $50.000/year + commission (negotiable with considerations applied for previous relevant experience) - **a committed and driven sales person will find opportunities to increase their income by up to 60% in commissionable earnings**

About the PositionThe Event and Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for promoting and selling our catering services through events and corporate accounts. Our Event and Corporate Sales Managers are seasoned professionals, who take pride in designing and creating _delicious moments_ for every occasion, big or small. Always working to expand and promote Peake brand, Sales Managers are expected to know and display the Peake Core Values.
Major Responsibilities
- Attend weekly meetings with the operations and production teams to review next week’s events and orders
- Attend weekly departmental meetings and briefings
- Conduct Sales calls to new and existing clients to encourage new business
- Efficient follow ups with established clients for feedback and encouraging repeat orders
- Receive and process payments from clients - interfacing with the Finance Director to ensure payments are received promptly
- Clear communication with the Staffing Manager regarding staffing needs on upcoming events
- Available to attend occasional key events as a representative of the Sales team
- Ensure all production sheets and event gig books are accurate, detailed and distributed as needed
- Ensure the preparation of events and communicate challenges/changes as to the appropriate departments
- *Tasks outside of those outlined in the job description may be required during times of increased demand*Education, skills and qualifications
- Previous experience in similar catering or event management job positions (min. 2+ years)
- Post-secondary accreditation (certificate, degree, etc.)
- Serving-it-right certification
- First Aid certification (preferred)
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills needed
- Driver’s license preferred
Notes
- This position will require office and on-site event hours
- Remuneration based on experience - discussion and evaluation will be done accordingly
This job requires Monday to Friday availability during business hours (between 8-8:30 - 4-4:30)
It will also occasionally require evening and weekend work for events. (Paid at an hourly event wage)
40 hour per week (salaried)
Any additional event hours worked outside of usual hours will be paid out at an Event Manager hourly rate (approx. $28/hour - negotiable)
