**Who We Are**

The Finance Department within Student Services provides oversight to the processes related to short and long-term strategic financial planning for capital, operating, revenue, resources, scholarship and specific purpose budgets within Student Services (Vice Provost, Students and International portfolio). The department manages financial operations and ensures resource optimization within the Student Services portfolio. This including budget planning and monitoring process, financial reporting, compliance and stakeholder management to address any financial needs, concerns, and inquiries.

**About the Role**

The Budget Coordinator assists with the day-to-day management of the operating, capital, endowment, research, and specific purpose funds administered by Student Services (the portfolio of the Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Students and International). The incumbent acts as the first point of contact for all financial and budgetary matters and provides advice to senior administrators, managers and staff within Student Services. The incumbent prepares and completes documents related to financial transactions, which can include fund and budget transfers and maintains financial database systems. They act as a resource on all financial matters relating to eligible travel and business expenditures and provides advice on travel and expense policy guidelines. The Budget Coordinator assists with the annual budget preparation and the implementation of financial activities within Student Services.
