**Environmental Project Coordinator**

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Edmonds 11

Annual salary: $ 64,100.00 - 69,200.00

**What you'll do**
- Provides non-technical system support for the Fish and Wildlife Compensation Program (FWCP)’s grant management

system. Responds to user inquiries on system access, functionality and navigation. Assists grant recipients with completing
system-related grant management tasks. Works with IT Support to address technical issues as required.
- Maintains the grant management system by: setting up the system annually for the grant process; updating project

information; identifying and gathering system enhancement suggestions from users; working with IT Support on
enhancements and user guides; carrying out user acceptance testing to ensure enhancements meet functional and
operational requirements; and conducting training on grant management system to internal and external users.
- Maintains regional FWCP budgets by: preparing budgets based on previous year’s budgets; creating work breakdown

structures for projects; tracking and reviewing budgets on a monthly basis; preparing journal vouchers to correct coding
errors; working with Finance to assign charge codes; checking grant recipient invoices and flagging discrepancies to
Regional Managers; and providing budget information for annual reports and FWCP Board Annual General Meetings.
- Plans, organizes and conducts research and investigations on various environmental related business and strategic

matters across various business units (such as Integrated Planning and Regulatory) under the guidance/direction of senior
Environment staff.
- Provides research support on key and strategic environmental issues (such as emerging issues, climate change) for

internal and external consultations and senior level (such as Executive or Board) discussions related to Environment Social
& Governance initiatives.

grant process; and clarifying discrepancies with grant proponents as required.
- Assists with the development of training and presentation materials for seminars, education and training sessions.

Coordinates meeting logistics and technical support as required. Prepares evaluation documentation, updates and reports.
Conducts demonstrations on grant management system to users.
- Provides administrative and coordination support for FWCP regional board and other meetings (such as BC Hydro

Environment Executive Governance Committee) and events by performing such duties as: assisting in developing agendas,
taking meeting notes; recording decisions, motions and attendance, updating the regional budget during annual general
meetings; processing expense claims for committee members; and setting up display and other event materials.
- Provides contract administration support for assigned contracts. Reviews contracts/letters of agreements for accuracy

prior to issuing. May prepare purchase orders and progresses payment requisitions. Reviews invoices, Service Entry
- Sheets and routes to management for approval. Works with FWCP staff and Procurement to resolve issues.
- Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.

- Certificate in Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
- Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in project coordination/support, research or program delivery.
- Experience in requisitioning, purchasing, contract, invoice processing and considered an asset.
