The Program & Volunteer Manager is responsible for organizing assigned Ausome programs from start to finish, including procuring space, posting program content, corresponding with parents, program staff and volunteers, and overseeing the implementation of Ausome program curriculum to create a fun, safe, positive, inclusive, and supported learning environment. Program & Volunteer Manager will be responsible for maintaining program development and supporting Program Support staff in the running of sessions.

The Program & Volunteer Manager is also tasked with building and maintaining relationships with volunteers, recruiting volunteers, supporting volunteers through their Ausome life cycle and planning appreciation events.
The responsibility of this role is to enhance program productivity and ensure the effective inclusion of athletes with autism into Ausome sport and recreation.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent, full-time
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours/week, primarily weekdays with some evenings and weekends
REPORTS TO: Director of Programs

ESSENTIAL PROGRAM AND VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all aspects of programs, virtual programs, PD Day camps and other Ausome programs as assigned; including procuring space, overseeing program and volunteer content on the website, booking coaches, assigning groups, preparing program materials, creating registration and feedback forms, corresponding with parents, program staff and volunteers.
- Attend assigned programs to provide leadership and direction to coaches, staff and volunteers.
- Support the training of volunteers and program staff as assigned by the Director of Programs within programs; administrative tasks, procedures, and program roles.
- Meet regularly with the Director of Programs to review the program outline.
- Manage program memberships
- Recruit group volunteers for programs and events (ie. CSL, University Days of Service, placements, fairs).
- Supervise and contribute to evaluating volunteers regularly, both formally and informally, based on their personal goals and expectations.
- Schedule program staff for all programs using SLING.
- Support Director of Programs in sharing program policies and procedures to specific stakeholders (parents, staff, volunteers, coaches & participants).
- Plan volunteer appreciations (Volunteer of the Month, appreciation nights/activities, etc), with guidance from the Director of Programs.
- Maintain member data in our CRM (Salesforce) and ensure athlete and volunteer profiles are up to date.
- Share and organize weekly information for upcoming programs with colleagues to ensure volunteer opportunities are made available to Ausome volunteers through newsletters and social media.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure social media content is shared with Ausome community and beyond.
- Support the Comms team to ensure program and volunteer pages on the website are up to date.
- Maintain program merchandise (shirts, prizes, Ausome cards, etc).
- Support members of the leadership team with Ausome projects and grant reports, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Programs, when required.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the training of casual employees as assigned.
- Perform general office administrative tasks as needed to support smooth operations.
- Support the recruitment, engagement and stewardship of families, volunteers, donors, sponsors, coaches and other stakeholders.
- Support with Ausome events, community engagement, and fundraising.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
