**Job Description**:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Manager, Medical Staff Contract Management, the Analyst is responsible for ensuring Medical Staff contracts are effectively managed within the health authority. A key responsibility of this position is drafting contracts which reflect the services to be provided, preparing contract amendments and assisting with contract renewals, as well as supporting and facilitating the monitoring of contract deliverables alongside Island Health programs. The Analyst supports contract performance, organizational decision-making and organizational performance improvement through analysis, monitoring and reporting of system performance. The incumbent participates in identified contract management projects, proposes new initiatives, liaises with other Island Health programs, and supports stakeholder engagement, communications and quality improvement activities. The Analyst establishes and maintains close working relationships with Island Health program areas, Finance, external physician billing contractors, partners in other Health Authorities and the Ministry of Health.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with five (5) years' related management/supervisory experience, preferably in the health care field.

**Skills And Abilities**:

- Demonstrated leadership ability and highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as health care or public organizations.
- Demonstrated commitment to client focused services and teamwork with direct experience working collaboratively and effectively with Medical Staff.
- Ability to integrate administrative, professional and operational aspects of the department throughout Island Health in an effective and efficient manner.
- Ability to develop and nurture an environment where quality improvement principles are embraced and used on a continuous basis.
- Demonstrated financial management and analysis skills.
- Knowledge of Medical Services Plan fee guides and billing procedures.
- Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle to facilitate travel within a multi-site organization.
