SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

- **Payroll Administrator in Guelph, ON Canada**:

- ** Full-time contract (up to 18 months)**

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

- Weekly payroll processing for hourly employees including some timesheet entry
- Backup payroll processing for other Canadian regions including Quebec
- Validate weekly payroll, ensure deductions are taken properly and are in accordance with legislative and collective agreement requirements
- Create and maintain employee records in SAP
- Keep informed on union rules and applicable laws that could impact our operations
- Request changes in SAP when required and complete validation testing
- Send payslips each week, and answer employee questions regarding their pay
- Any other tasks related to payroll and local request (employment confirmation, government request)
- Process/assist on various payroll related reports to the government: T4s, RL1, source deductions
- Monthly remittances for multiple unions and Workers Compensation
- Maintain vacation and other payroll-related spreadsheets
- Process employee benefits, garnishments and RRSP contributions
- Process ROEs, reconcile all statutory requirements, deductions, and other payroll related accounts
- Run multiple SAP reports for requests as required by employees, management and legislative

**Education & Experience**
- Three to five years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner certified or working towards considered an asset.
- Efficient in MS Office environment including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with SAP considered a strong asset
- Bilingual (Fully fluent English/French) considered an asset
