**The Opportunity**:
Are you an adaptable self-starter who enjoys taking initiative in a fast-paced environment, and who is able to react quickly and responsibly to changes? As an Administrative Assistant, you will be a key member of the Bitumen Production team and will have an opportunity to work with experienced professionals from the bitumen production team. Reporting to the Operations Manager - Horizon Bitumen Production, this position will suit administrative professionals that embrace autonomy to complete work efficiently and accurately.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Liaise with other personnel within the Bitumen Production Group and other supporting departments on the Horizon Site in order to ensure accurate data capture
- Responsible for entering data and producing weekly and monthly reports from the Canadian Natural computer databases
- Submit requests on behalf of Bitumen Production for things like building maintenance, and IT requests
- Use problem-solving skills to help others with a plethora of one-off requests
- Perform cross-functional duties with others in the department for vacation coverage
- Assist employees with inquiries regarding, coveralls, prescription safety glasses, and submitting expenses
- Chair monthly staff safety meetings and approve meeting room requests and ensure there are no scheduling conflicts
- Update bulletin boards, distribute mail, and print posters on the plotter and maintain distribution lists in Outlook
- Update trackers to keep track of training expenses and safety key accountabilities for the department
- Maintain office maps and help with office assignments including configuration requests, and computer set up requests. As well, order supplies such as paper, stationary items, and boot covers

**Other Details**:

- Job location: Horizon Oil Sands site - Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Shift schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off
- Eligible for relocation pursuant with Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy
- Company Sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out Program with charter flights from Calgary or Edmonton

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 Diploma or GED is a requirement
- 3-5 years office administration experience is required
- Preferably, experience working on site in a construction or oil sands environment
- Ability to work effectively alone and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the team
- Successful at seeing the big picture while maintaining exceptional attention to detail along with outstanding organizational skills
