Position Information

**Position Title**
- Associate Dean, Academic (School of Health and Wellness)**Position Summary**
- We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Associate Dean to join our School of Health and Wellness team.
- The Associate Dean within the School of Health and Wellness provides support and mentorship to staff and faculty under their supervision and academic leadership to an assigned portfolio of programs.- The Associate Dean oversees the development/redevelopment, delivery, and assessment of programs and curriculum to meet CAQC and institutional standards of excellence. This position supports faculty and staff in their professional development and scholarly activity to ensure quality work and learning outcomes.- Within their respective schools, the Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and other members of the operational team to establish and implement goals and plans to support the institution’s strategic priorities.**Position Responsibilities**
- Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Academic & Operational Leadership
- Teaching, Research, and Scholarly Activity
- People Leadership
- Communication & Relationship Management

**Required Qualifications**
- A minimum of a Masters’ degree in an area relevant to the School they are working in, curriculum/program development or leadership.
- 5-7 years experience facilitating or instructing in an adult education environment as well as demonstrated experience in development and assessment of curriculum, plus
- 3-5 years progressively responsible academic leadership experience including direct supervision of faculty and staff (recruitment and selection, and performance coaching).
- Demonstrated achievement in scholarly activity.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering the principles of learner-centredness.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- An earned Doctorate from a recognized institution in a relevant area would be preferred.

- $108,181 - $131,494 annually**Benefits and Compensation Information**
