**Location - **This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person with on-site work taking place at the Augustana Campus in the city of Camrose, Alberta.

Augustana students benefit from their liberal arts and science education and form meaningful, lifelong ties with the University. These connections are reinforced through a coordinated alumni relations strategy to inform, involve, and engage alumni and community members with the campus.

**Position Summary**

Reporting within the team, lead by the Manager Alumni Partnerships in the Office of Alumni Relations, The Augustana Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive program of events, lectures, and community engagements designed to build relationships with students, alumni, and potential donors at the Augustana campus. The coordinator works with volunteers to facilitate welcome and engagement activities for students and alumni and supports alumni recognition activities. Working collaboratively with communication colleagues, the position contributes to the Augustana Circle publication and coordinates activities across External Relations to create opportunities for partner programs. Working in collaboration with External Relations and campus colleagues, the position will look for potential speakers and opportunities to showcase the Augustana campus and its researchers and strengthen community ties.

**Duties**
- Leads and implements a full program of lectures, events and programs, including booking venues and speakers and managing registration and guests.
- Involves alumni and student volunteers in program activities that build community, create a welcoming environment, or offers mentorship.
- Contributes to plans for major celebrations.
- Supports recognition activities.
- Engages in annual planning activities and coordination.
- Seeks partnerships and facilitates relationships to increase program outcomes

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Related post-secondary diploma or degree
- 2-3 years’ experience working in alumni relations, community engagement, or special events/meeting support capacities
- Well-developed communication and diplomacy skills; strong ambassador
- Proven ability to work with volunteers and in partnerships
- Ability to meet deadlines and skillfully navigate multiple priorities
- Experience working in a postsecondary setting; understanding of the Augustana Campus
- High degree of self-motivation and initiative

- Knowledge of budgeting
- Demonstrated understanding of presentation technology
- High energy and task orientation
