Brief description of a technical advisor (declarative) and a technical advisor (development):
**Duties**:
As a technical advisor (declarative or development), you will be responsible for:

- Leading in Scrum teams on projects and working in an environment using Agile software development methodology
- Developing or implementing enterprise or complex solution architectures using Salesforce technology.
- Representing the team in discussions with managers, technical staff and clients to obtain agreement on service requirements or the resolution of technical issues.
- Administering business analysis techniques and methods to conduct cost benefit analysis, or feasibility studies or requirements analysis.
- Team lead only: Supervising staff and performing HR activities or financial management activities.

ISED is transitioning to a hybrid work environment to leverage the best of both in-person and virtual work to deliver results. To foster a dynamic environment for purposeful in-person connections, most employees will be working part time at their designated ISED worksite on a weekly basis, and the remainder of the time from their telework location.

This job has been identified as ‘hybrid’. Generally, employees in a hybrid job can anticipate working from their designated ISED location from two to three days per week.

We are located at the CD Howe Building, situated at 235 Queen Street, an office complex in downtown Ottawa, close to Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal and the Rideau Shopping Centre. This location offers close access to restaurants, fitness facilities, walking/running paths and parks. We are conveniently located close to major bus routes, so it is easy to commute from all points across the National Capital Region

EDUCATION FOR ALL STREAMS:

- Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
