Mission Statement: Execute Service work with low to medium complexity in Low and Medium Voltage Drives according to work instructions and in accordance to ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoot, Commission (Start-up) and Service Low and Medium Voltage drives.
- Responsible for providing technical support/service to customers during the complete life cycle of the equipment. Engineering service may include identifying and correcting hardware/software discrepancies, on-site or via telephone, pre-sale, or post-sale.
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard technical methods, processes, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Responsible for own work, either as a member of a team or independently, and may provide work direction to technicians or associates on projects.
- Is part of a field P&L operation, balancing customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Develops expertise in multiple product lines.
- Provide training to customers.
- Contributes to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation. Maintains a good relationship with customers, identifies new product opportunities, and makes recommenda-tions for product improvements.
- Identifies new sales opportunities and communicates them internally.
- Coordinates, prepares and ensures that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities.
- Prepares all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.
- Troubleshoots equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
- Provides recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.
- Applies safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Reports unsafe practices and incidents.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technologist Diploma in Electrical Technology.
- 2-3 years experience with installation and maintenance of industrial control systems, including, low voltage and medium voltage drives, PLCs and HMIs.
- Strong customer focus and the ability to relate well to customer needs, strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work in a multi-disciplined service environment often under pressure filled conditions.
- Technical communication skills in English including the ability to write reports and speak effectively before customers or employees.
- Preferably, this position resides in Ontario to optimize our install base coverage of Central Canada. Other Locations can be considered.
- Valid passport and driver’s license, and able to travel to the USA and internationally for training and customer assignments.
