**Position Title: Financial and Administrative Support Assistant**

**Classification: Full time (1 year term)**

**Reporting to: Executive Director**

**Job Summary**

The Financial and Administrative Support Assistantis responsible for the day-to-day administrative and financial duties of the organization. This Indigenous position includes providing support to the Client Choice Market and it staff, clients, and volunteers, _as well as providing advice and guidance on cultural traditions, activities and initiatives_ to all staff, volunteers, and clients of the Colchester Community Support Society (CCSS).

**Responsibilities include**:
**Financial**
- Process invoices for approval and process cheque payments
- Creating and processing invoices for customers
- Financial transactions and daily data entries using Sage Accounting software
- Financial Reporting
- Receiving and processing of donations
- Preparing and submitting bank deposits
- Organizing and tracking project expenditures using Microsoft Excel

**Administrative**
- Welcoming and providing support to in-person visitors and donors
- Assistance with other miscellaneous administrative duties

**Client Services**
- Assist with the coordination and management of client services appointments
- Assist with client registration
- Provide guidance, education, and support to clients with regards to the client choice market
- Assist with training, as needed, of volunteers in the Client Choice Market
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of the Client Choice Market and Sharing Kitchen spaces
- Provide necessary support and assistance to all volunteers
- Provides clients with information and/or referrals to other community agencies.

**Qualifications**:

- Understanding of Indigenous culture, traditions and activities.
- Post secondary education in Business Administration and/or Office Administration _or an acceptable level of experience in a related field._
- Experience using Sage Accounting software
- Intermediate / Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication Skills
- Honesty, integrity and commitment to the Mission of CCSS are essential

**How to apply**:

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
