**Salary**: $2,345.14 to $3,076.28 bi-weekly ($61,208 - $80,290/year)

Within the Education Supports Sector, the Learner Supports Branch provides supports for programs and services that impact the education of students. This includes supporting school authorities with student re-engagement, supports for students with low-incidence disabilities, and in administrative or dispute resolution requirements with school authorities.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Dispute Resolution and Administration Unit, Learner Supports Branch, this position functions within the parameters of applicable government and ministry legislation, regulations, policies, directives and procedures in order to administer programs and services that impact the education of children and students.
- Supports and participates in varied forms of collaborative processes within Program and System Support Division to enhance communication, relationships, and efficiency of operations.
- Collaborates with School Finance, Legal Services, Contracted Services Management, Field Services, and other parts of the Ministry to support development of policy and procedures that are responsive to the needs of clients and stakeholders.
- Contributes to preparing requests for proposals, as required, to support the successful completion of projects or initiatives.
- Contributes to the preparation of final reports, briefing materials and presentations to management and/or external stakeholders for information and/or decisions.
- Collaborates with sector data analyst to create custom value-added reports to guide ministry direction and monitor trends related to education.
- Supports the development and renewal of agreements and contracts, including those for EPI and SEPs and related projects.
- Participates in data collection and management to support EPI and SEPs.
- Contributes to cross-ministry communication about projects and programs.
- Creates communication plans in collaboration with ministry Communication and Public Engagement personnel.
- Supports collaboration with branch staff, and other sector representatives as necessary, to determine feasibility of research and policy priorities, proposals, define problems, clarify research needs and develop project terms of reference (including objectives, time frames and project budgets).
- Drafts briefing notes, action requests responses, and drafts correspondence for the Minister and other senior ministry representatives in a timely and appropriate manner; advice is provided to the branch management team for issues with implications for the sector and department.

**Qualifications**:
University graduation in a related field; no experience required; or equivalent as described below.

**Equivalency**: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

**Assets**:

- Experience with managing contracts and contractors.
- Experience with Research and Analysis and preparation of reports.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationship management.
- Preparation of complex reports by analysis of data.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and legislations like the Education Act etc.
