Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time **Chargebacks Analyst** to join our growing and ever-changing organization. The Chargebacks Analyst is an integral part of the finance team and will report to the VP, Finance, or designate. The Chargebacks Analyst is responsible for ensuring that only valid chargebacks against disputed credit card payments are accepted. The analyst must be diligent in reviewing chargeback transactions to uncover fraud or misrepresented claims and dispute them in a timely, correct, and conclusive manner. The analyst must be able to understand and maneuver within various systems, software, and processes to ensure success both within and outside Flair.

The Chargebacks Analyst will be based out of Edmonton, AB (YEG) with the option to work in a hybrid environment.

**Primary Job Functions**:
The duties of the **Chargebacks Analyst **include:

- Investigate individual transactions using established processes to determine the validity of the chargeback claim.
- Develop a new process for earlier detection of chargeback fraud.
- Gather data and prepare accurate support to dispute fraudulent claims.
- Maximize recovery of chargebacks.
- Use Flair reservations systems, processor platforms, and other relevant portals to research the chargeback claim.
- Work with Commercial, Finance, and Legal departments to develop safeguards against fraud.
- Manage and update the blacklisted passengers to remove the risk of repeat offenders.
- Research and develop external or internal software controls.
- Other duties as assigned by the organization from time to time.

**Qualifications and Competencies**:

- Minimum of two (2) years experience in an industry utilizing credit card processors and involved in disputes, chargebacks, or fraud containment.
- Completion of a post-secondary certificate, preferably with a focus on business, bookkeeping, or analysis.
- Chargebacks experience within the airline industry is an advantage.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
- Ability to adapt to new software and processes.
- Self-starter with an analytical background.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Extremely high accuracy and a high degree of attention to detail.
- Natural inquisitive nature and appreciation for research and investigation.
- Strong self-confidence with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills and the ability to summarize and communicate with confidence.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to secure and maintain an appropriate airport security clearance, acceptable criminal record checks are required
