- **This position is a 12-month contract role that is remote in either Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON.**_

About you

You are a dedicated payroll professional seeking an opportunity to support the administration of our Canadian payroll and benefit programs, ensuring efficient and accurate processing and reporting. You excel in providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers on all payroll and benefit matters.

In this role, you will- Administer the day-to-day payroll operations, including data collection and input, transaction verification, report writing, and timely, accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees.- Process salary changes, bonuses, and other personnel file updates with precision.- Issue end-of-employment documents and assist in preparing employee tax statements.- Prepare payroll cheques as needed, ensuring accuracy and prompt delivery.- Perform payroll General Ledger reconciliations for seamless accounting.- Track and manage employee vacation balances and accruals.- Process cheque requests for payroll remittances, including benefits, Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) payments, and group retirement plan contributions.

What you’ll bring- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (or related fields)- Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience in payroll- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Expert level of Excel)- Intermediate understanding of accounting practices and principles- Strong attention to detail and ability to deal with multiple deadlines
- Approximate Salary Range for Role: $54,563 to $101,250._
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training._
