Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada (Pauktuutit) is the national representative organization of Inuit women in Canada. Our mission is to foster a greater awareness of the needs of Inuit women and create change to advance women’s full social, economic, and cultural participation in communities in Inuit Nunangat, as well as cities across Canada where Inuit live.

Pauktuutit, as the national voice of Inuit women in Canada, has a key role to play in ensuring a gender-equality lens in policies impacting Inuit Women and in promoting greater progress in priority areas for Inuit women and children, across health and well-being, violence, and abuse prevention - safety, and socio-economic development. Our ability to do so depends heavily on partnerships across government departments, key funders, Inuit community groups and other stakeholder organizations.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Manage the development and publishing processes for communications plans; newsletters; key messages; event assets; editorials, press releases and statements; social media postings; and other content as required.
- Oversee the development of communications reporting and analytics that can inform decision-making and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Develop relationships and collaborate with a network of allies (Partners, Community Leaders, other advocacy groups) and influencers to amplify communications.
- Leverage traditional and social media, sponsored channels, and influencers to proactively ensure our messages are reaching audiences.
- Identify and manage media training of internal spokespeople.
- Oversee the provision of communication support services - primarily brand and key message management, website management, design services, translation services, and production services - including contract management and invoicing.
- Support crisis communications and issues-response by working with Policy and Programs and spokespeople on key messaging, as well as liaising with media.
- Contribute to the management of the Communications budget.
- Ensure the organization develops and maintains templates and processes to capture corporate knowledge, document communications-related protocols and streamline the delivery of services.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the areas of communications, marketing, digital media, and measurement/analytics.
- Support the Director in planning consulting requirements including recruiting, interviewing, selecting, contracting, onboarding, and managing an appropriate number of contractors as needed, including the provision of on-going coaching and feedback to develop their ability to understand and respond to our needs.
- Develop internal communications strategies that facilitate and foster information sharing across Pauktuutit on the strategy and specific projects.
- Coordinates the expansion of Pauktuutit's participation on relevant social media outlets.
- Receive, manage, and respond to communications and media inquiries under the direction of the Director of Communications.
- Other duties as required.

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 5 years experience in a communications role preferably in Not-for-Profit organization in a professional communications environment with experience in social media management and quick response.
- An excellent communicator and storyteller, who is clear, concise, and articulate, with the ability to communicate in a professional and engaging manner.
- Outstanding writing skills, with experience and comfort writing for external, executive, and social media audiences. Strong attention to detail especially when editing.
- Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating communications plans and materials.
