The Labour Board is an independent adjudicative body established under the Labour Board Act. We are responsible for the fair and efficient administration and adjudication of responsibilities assigned to us under the Labour Board Act and sections of other Acts and Regulations.

**About Our Opportunity**:
As the Summer Law Student, you will carry out special projects. You will assist in the review of practices and procedures of the Board; and will have an opportunity to observe and be involved in the inner workings of the Labour Board.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
You will be accountable for conducting legal and other research, gathering and analyzing legal and non-legal information, drafting policy and procedure statements, preparing reports and presentations.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
To be successful in this opportunity you have completed your second year of study at a Canadian Law School. Preference for students who have completed a course(s) in labour law, employment law, administrative law or other related course work and/or post-secondary experience, and are interested in learning about administrative, labour and employment law.

We will assess the above qualifications using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized test, oral presentations, interview (s) and reference checks.

**Working Conditions**:

- Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day
- Regularly reads and interprets multiple sources of information, regular requirement to type, read and work on a computer
- May experience pressure with deadlines and need for accuracy

**Additional Information**:
This is a student position which is expected to be 10 weeks in length.

**Pay Grade**:_ _HOURLY

**Salary Range**:_ _$14.97 - $28.26 Hourly
