**About Us**:
As leaders in workplace psychological health and safety and in the ongoing sustainability of the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, the Public Service Commission, and the Nova Scotia General Employees Union (NSGEU) have partnered to create an Office for Workplace Mental Health (the Office). The goal of the Office is to create a positive culture of mental health and wellness, help employees access the supports they need in a timely way, and help leaders and managers create equitable, safe, and supportive workplaces.

**About Our Opportunity**:
The Summer Student (Program Administration) will contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Office of Workplace Mental Health and provide support to project teams on a number of key initiatives.

**Primary Accountabilities**:

- Daily data collection, database entry and support;
- Exploration of report templates and support for their development;
- Printing and preparing packages of training and communication materials; and
- Organizing, filing, and preparing documents.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
You must be currently enrolled as a student and returning to school in the fall (or in the next applicable semester for the education program).
- Are efficient with computers including, but not limited to, Office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Are organized and able to prioritize your work to meet deadlines;
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and work well in both independent and team-based work environments; and
- Are very attentive to detail.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

**Working Conditions**:

- Normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day.
- Work is a combination of in-person and remote.

**Additional Information**:
This is a summer student opportunity with a work term of May 1 to August 18, 2023 (16 weeks).

**Pay Grade**:_ _HOURLY

**Salary Range**:_ _$17.25 - $23.12 Hourly
