Product Development Coordinator

The Product Development Coordinator - Luggage and Bags will play a strategical role by participating in the development of new products for our well-known brands in Canada like **Travelpro, SwissGear, Bench, Roots, David Jones,Simon Chang**, etc.
This is a great opportunity for an organized individual with good communication skills aiming to bring different teams together to achieve the company goals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate, schedule meetings and follow-up on final development samples for the Sales and Marketing teams, making sure stablished deadlines are respected
- Responsible for the showroom: prepare them for all meetings, merchandising and make sure the assortment is always accurate based on the inventory
- Manage catalogues, price lists, presentation documents with Marketing by following all updated product info and sharing documents with the sales team
- Communicate daily with all involved departments, mainly with the sales team, to makes sure they have the accurate information for all the customers’ accounts
- Provide support to his/her supervisor in the daily tasks, meetings follow-up, product research in connection to the market, updates on product’s stock, development calendar, etc.
- Act as the contact person for the Customer Service and Sales teams for any specific requirements on products and/or meetings
- Proactively raise any encountered issues or challenges to his/her supervisor and recommend a solution
- Be involved in some communications with the Orient
- Assist his/her supervisor in specific meetings and other related tasks
Education and Experience:
- DEC or Diploma related to Product Design and Product Development
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development
- Familiar with Design Tech Pack documents to understand the structure of products
- Product knowledge related to luggage or soft goods would be considered as a strong asset
- Manufacturing and distribution experience would be considered as an asset
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines within a product development calendar.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to take some initiative and to be accountable for his/her work.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
